#MyHuntington | Share the Good, Be the Good

The #MyHuntington movement promotes all the good about our city. For over a year, residents, visitors, and former neighbors have opened up about what they love about the city – and there is a lot to love!

Aside from sharing the good, MyHuntington is also dedicated to being the good. Agencies, organizations, and individuals have rallied around the movement to create scholarships, organize community clean-ups, and facilitate outreach events dedicated to making us stronger together.

We are committed to creating and sharing positive perceptions of our city.

Huntington became so much more than just a place that I decided to further my education and deciding to stay after graduation was the best decision I could have made.

#MyHuntington is a place I am proud to show my friends from around the country when they come to visit. They are impressed with our unique restaurants and shops, our museum, the Keith-Albee Theatre, and, of course, the Marshall Campus. And they are amazed at the generosity of the people I tell them about.

Marsha Mattingly

"When I think of Huntington, I think I am home. It is a great place. It’s a great place to live. It’s a great place to raise your family. And it’s safe. It's friendly. And people are more than willing to help you."

Being a part of the Mayor’s LGBTQ Advisory /Diversity and Inclusion Committee is just one step closer to doing what I want to do for the LGBTQ community here in Huntington.

I am a student at Marshall University. I chose Marshall because of how I got that home-like feel from the community and campus.
Marshall/Huntington has become a place that I feel at home with because of the way everybody has been so welcoming. I’m glad to call #MyHuntington my second home!

“…in my later years of college I was going downtown more, I made friends with many locals and I was involved in organizations on campus that kept me occupied and grew my friend circle.”

love Huntington and I’m proud to call #MyHuntington my home! I have a fabulous group of friends and family that make up my killer support system. I was born and raised in this area, so it’s amazing to see how “hip” and “open” we’ve become.

Not only is Huntington MY home, but it is also where I chose to own my own business, raise my daughter and where I choose to build my life.

It’s so great seeing my generation getting involved to help it grow, make it safer, and an overall better community/city. We know the true value of this state and city and wish to see it fulfill its potential.
